The islands of Hawai’i are blessed with mild weather year round with only two seasons, summer (April to October) and winter (November to March). During the summer, the Princeville Resort area averages daytime highs in the 80s and nighttime lows in the 70s.
Winter averages are in the low to mid-70s during the day and at night in the low 60s. Not exactly chilly, but cool enough to wear a sweater. Water temperatures during summer are usually about 80 degrees, and about 73 degrees in the winter.
The Princeville Resort receives an average of 85 inches of rain. It sounds like a lot, but rather like Camelot, it usually doesn’t fall until the sun goes down. Showers generally are brief. As you look around at the lush, green plants and trees, the jungle areas and the mountains with their waterfalls after a rain, it’s really not such a bad thing at all.
