Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left into Prince Clubhouse. Princeville Restaurant & Bar is located on the lower level of the clubhouse.

Princeville Golf Course - Prince
The Prince Course has consistently been rated "Hawaii's No.1 Golf Course" by Golf Digest. But don't just take their word for it - try it for yourself.

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left into Prince Clubhouse. Princeville Golf Course and Pro Shop are located on the lower level of the clubhouse.

Princeville Golf Course - Makai
The Makai Course consists of three separate Nines - Ocean, Woods, and Lakes, each starting and ending at the clubhouse. All three provide the golfer, whether novice or professional, with challenge and variety.

Enter Princeville at Hanalei via Ka Haku Road. Turn left onto Lei O Papa Road to the Makai Golf Shop located on the right. Parking is located on the left.

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left into Prince Clubhouse. Princeville Spa is located on the upper level of the clubhouse.

Princeville Hotel

From Highway 56, enter Princeville at Hanalei's main entrance via Ka Haku Road. Follow for 2 miles where the Princeville Hotel awaits you at the very end.

Princeville Center
Find convenience and variety close to home, with a variety of shops, two banks, a supermarket, a gas station, a coffee shop and two restaurants.

Take Highway 56 north approximately .5 miles. Shopping Center is located on the right.

Princeville Ranch
Soar over lush valleys of this 2500-acre family-operated working cattle ranch on an 8-zipline course. Hike and kayak to hidden waterfalls.

Horseback rides to an 80-foot waterfall or a scenic ocean bluff.

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e for approximately .5 miles. Turn left at Kapaka Road (across from Princeville Ranch Stables). Princeville Ranch is located on the right.

Hanalei Valley Lookout
Marvel at the awesome beauty of Hanalei Valley from the Lookout, just off Highway 56. Whether skies of blue hover above or tropical mists dance around the mountain tops, this breathtaking valley is a view to be remembered.

Take Highway 56 north. Just past the Princeville Center on the left is the very popular Hanalei Valley Lookout.

Hanalei Town
Visit lovely Hanalei Valley to wander around a unique collection of quaint shops and galleries. The Waioli Mission House offers a glimpse of missionary life in the 1800s.

Take Highway 56 north toward Hanalei. Hanalei Town is located approximately 1 mile after crossing the Hanalei Bridge.

Hanalei Bay
The crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay is surrounded by magnificent and grand mountains that guard and protect her. Although known as a premier surfing spot in the winter, this North Shore jewel is also a playground the rest of the year for swimming, canoe racing and fishing.

Take Highway 56 north toward Hanalei. After crossing the Hanalei Bridge proceed toward Hanalei town. Turn right on Aku Road, and then turn right on Weke Road. Hanalei Pavilion is located on the left.

Ha`ena State Park
Located literally at the end of the road, Ha`ena State Park and Ke'e Beach are probably the most visited attractions on Kauai. Teeming with tropical fish, Ke`e Beach is an ideal snorkeling spot. Please use caution because currents can be very strong here.

Take Highway 56 north toward Hanalei and proceed approximately 8 miles to the end of the road.

Napali Coast
Hardy hikers can explore this scenic wonder from the Kalalau Trail. Or go for the ocean view of Kauai's famous cliffs on a variety of boat tours.

Take Highway 56 north to the end of the road (toward Ke`e Beach). Kalalau Trail starts at the western end of the beach.

Polo on the beach
The ancient sport of kings and their horses came to Hawaii more than 100 years ago, and finds its Kauai home at Anini Beach Park, every summer Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. Great for a tailgate party!

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e. Turn left on Kalihiwai Road (before crossing over the bridge). Turn left on Anini Road, drive for 1 mile. Polo field is located on the left side of the road (across from Anini Beach Park).

Kilauea Lighthouse
Built in 1913, the Kilauea Lighthouse beacon used to steer ships traversing the blue Pacific to safety. It's also a favorite stop for bird watchers with the Kilauea Point Wildlife Refuge right next door.

Take Highway 56 south toward the town of Kilauea. Turn left into the town's main entrance (Kolo Road), then turn left on Kilauea Road and follow to the end.

Opaeka`a Falls
One of several scenic sites in the Wailua area, Opaeka`a Falls is named for the tiny native shrimp (opae) found in the pools below. Their annual egg-laying dyes the water of the pools and falls red.

Take Highway 56 south toward Kapaa for 21 miles. Turn right on Kuamo`o Road (HI-580) and follow for approximately 1.5 miles to the Opaeka`a Falls Lookout.

Fern Grotto
This lovely natural amphitheater with its lush ferns is a favorite for weddings, but any visitor will enjoy riding the boat up the Wailua River and hearing Hawaiian music in the grotto's excellent acoustics.

Take Highway 56 south toward Kapaa for 22 miles. Immediately after crossing the Wailua Bridge, turn right into the Wailua River Marina and Fern Grotto entrance.

Lydgate Beach Park
Typically calm and clear, Lydgate Beach pools are a favorite for young swimmers and beginning snorklers. Shade trees and grassy areas also make for an ideal picnic spot.

Take Highway 56 south toward Kapaa for 22 miles. Just past the Wailua Bridge turn left toward the Aloha Beach Resort and continue on toward Lydgate Beach Park.

Kauai Museum
Experience the island's heritage through its diverse collection of feathered leis, vintage photographs and Hawaiian artifacts. Traveling exhibits and events are also hosted here year-round.

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu'e for approximately 26 miles. Follow HI-56 as it becomes Kapule Highway (HI-51). Proceed toward Rice Street where you turn right. The Kauai Museum is 1.25 miles down on the right.

Spouting Horn
This south-side wonder is a surf-driven 30-foot geyser that shoots through a submerged lava tube. The eerie sound it makes is said to come from a moo, or dragon, trapped in the tube.

Take Highway 56 south toward Lihu`e for approximately 26 miles. Follow HI-56 as it becomes Kapule Highway (HI-51). Turn right onto Ahukini Road.Turn left onto Kuhio Hwy (HI-56 South), which becomes HI-50 West, follow for approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto Maluhia Road (HI-520) for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto Koloa Road, then a quick left onto Poipu Road for approx. 1.5 miles. Turn slightly right onto Lawai Road for 1.9 miles.
