Hawaii's Kaua'i golf destination courses earn Golfweek honors
KAUA'I, Hawaii -- The Kaua'i Visitors Bureau announces that four Garden Isle courses have been named to Golfweek's 2013 list of "America's Best Courses You Can Play" by state.
Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club
The Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club ranked No. 2 on the list and Makai Golf Club at Princeville garnered the No. 3 spot. Situated nearby The St. Regis Princeville Resort, both courses recently reopened after undergoing extensive renovation projects.
Kaua'i Lagoons Golf Club, featuring the longest continuous stretch of ocean holes in Hawaii, ranked No. 8 while Poipu Bay Golf Course, adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Kaua'i Resort & Spa, rated No. 9.
"Kaua'i is a leading golf destination and these accolades affirm that we have some of the best courses in the state and the country," said Sue Kanoho, executive director of the Kaua'i Visitors Bureau. "Furthermore, these award-winners combine with Puakea Golf Course to offer stay-and-play packages as well as our island's many other activities and attractions."

The Kaua'i golf destination is a cooperative of five world-class golf courses and three award-winning resorts:
1. Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club
- Ranked as the No. 1 course in Hawaii by GOLF Magazine (2012) and No. 22 among "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses" 2013-2014 by Golf Digest
- Robert Trent Jones Jr. design re-opened in 2012 following an extensive refurbishment project that restored original design aspect, and improved playability for all skill levels
- The 66,000-square-foot clubhouse features The Tavern Restaurant, by celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi, and the beautifully appointed 5,500-square-foot Prince Golf Shop
