There are a variety of restaurants at the Princeville Resort including the St. Regis Princeville Resort, the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas. as well as the Princeville Shopping Center with a large selection of small casual restaurants and lots of seating outside in a gazebo-type area.

Whether you prefer fine dining or casual, eating under the stars or in an elegant restaurant, American cuisine, Asian cuisine or just grabbing a hamburger by the pool, you can find it all at the Princeville Resort.

Princeville Clubhouse


One of renowned chef Roy Yamaguchi’s newer restaurants, The Tavern has a slightly more casual atmosphere than his regular restaurants and a smaller menu, but still is serving the same terrific food. Choices range from classic escargot and a delicious grilled ribeye steak to Tavern shrimp scampi and mouthwatering desserts. Great food and wonderful views of the course – can’t go wrong here.

Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas


This is a lovely restaurant that features a relaxing casual atmosphere combined with excellent food and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating – hard to beat that combination. And while all the Villas have kitchens, the restaurant is popular enough to suggest reservations. There is both a Vegan & Gluten Free menu, available at dinner only.

The Wailele Bar is located next to the main swimming pool. They feature a great lunch menu that features salads, sandwiches, wraps, kalua pork quesadillas, various sides and of course, some really great hamburgers as well as a large selection of beer and cocktails. They also have a great selection of appetizers during Happy Hour.

The Princeville Market is unique in that it carries not only fresh local produce, but also fresh steaks, burgers, chicken and fish, all at market price. They also carry beer and wine, fresh pizzas, breakfast selections and feature a full line of Starbucks® coffee and espresso as well as resort essentials, like the toothpaste you might have forgotten to pack.

The St. Regis main dining room has an unbelievable setting overlooking the stunning Makana Mountains and Hanalei Bay. The sophisticated cuisine, although casual, features the freshest ingredients sourced from local farms on the north shore assuring diners not only the finest of ingredients but the freshest, all done with an Asian flair.

For outdoor dining with spectacular views and excellent light Mediterranean influenced food, be sure to visit the Nalu Kai Grill and Bar. Located poolside with unforgettable views of Hanalei Bay, you can either dine in the large open air gazebo.

Do not miss spending some time in this truly wonderful bar. With absolutely breathtaking sunset views, the ocean, the bay and the mountains, it has to be one of the best scenic views in all of Hawaii. There is entertainment nightly, a Sunday afternoon Jazz Jam and a delicious bar menu of small plates from the Kaua’I Grill. And keeping with a St. Regis legacy, watch the daily sunset champagne sabering demonstration. If you’re not familiar with it, it is an exceedingly dramatic way to open a bottle of champagne with a saber.

This small take away deli features an assortment of freshly baked pastries, toasted homemade bagels and fresh brewed espressos, cappuccinos and lattes, perfect to start your morning off right. They also carry various salads and sandwiches, chips, water and other drinks.

This is unforgettable dining experience for two in a beautiful outdoor setting. You will be met in the lobby with a lei presentation, then escorted to you very private dining area where a chilled bottle of champagne awaits you, followed by a customized four-course menu with wine pairings, as well as amuse bouche and intermezzo of the chef’s choosing.

Seasonal - Held every Thursday, the Mailani Dinner Show is a gourmet take on a traditional Hawaiian Luau featuring a tempting buffet that includes such items as fresh Ahi poke, Lomilomi Salmon, Chicken Lau Lau (chicken wrapped in taro and banana leaf), Kalua Pork & Cabbage, freshly made sushi, Korean short ribs and seared Mahimahi with butter sauce to name a fewof the selections. Plus there are wonderful desserts such as Li Hing Mui Malasadas (a delicious Portuguese doughnut), custards and more. A complimentary cocktail is served before dinner.

The show is just wonderful with dances that celebrate, ancient hula of Hawaiian mythology, chants and story telling of the cowboys and cowgirls of Hawaii’s ranching tradition, Warriors of New Zealand, a drum dance of Tahiti and, of course, an excellent fire dancer. The dancers are just marvelous and both the men and women will hold you spellbound as they tell their stories through their dancing. Held in the beautiful setting of the Makana Terrace, with its dramatic water features and views, this is a dinner and show not to be missed.

Princeville Shopping Center


Authentic Mexican food using only the freshest ingredients at affordable prices. Try the fresh fish tacos and carne asada tacos, as well as some great freshly made salsas. The restaurant is rather small but take out is always an option.

The Café not only serves up local beef burgers and plate lunches with all the trimmings, they also sell Chevron Gas, along with brick oven baked pizzas and they also feature a full service espresso bar. It’s an unusual combination, but fans say quite tasty – minus the gas of course.

Features locally caught fish and USDA Prime Beef along with fresh island vegetable and fruits. All entrees include a trip to their popular salad bar. There is live Hawaiian music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Master Baker, Jason Panui bakes up some delicious muffins and all sorts of sweets just perfect to start your day off right. Made fresh daily, this small shop also features espressos, mochas and lattes as well as what some fans call the best coffee on the island.

The locally family owned Foodland is one of Hawaii’s favorite supermarkets. You can find a large selection of wine & beer, pre-made sandwiches, cut up fruit and vegetables, yogurt parfaits, and various salads and personalized sandwiches for take out.

If you’re never had a Hawaiian shave ice you are in for a treat at this locally owned family business. They also offer smoothies, coffee and fresh made waffles, but you might want to stick with the shave ice which fans say is the very best on Kauai.

Made in Kauai, Lappert’s Ice Cream gets rave reviews from most visitors to this small shop in the shopping center. The ice cream is handmade and they make their own waffle cones. The selection of flavors include a wonderful Kona Coffee, fresh coconut and the popular Kaui Pie…you have to try it to appreciate it.
