The Prince Course

All the greens plus practice areas have been rebuilt using Seashore Paspalum grass and Tee boxes have been renovated or are new on various holes. Bunkers have new fiber mesh liners, drainage and new buff colored sand to blend in better with the lush surroundings.

There are five sets of golf tees at each hole with several having nine different tee areas giving everyone a choice of how to play. T

The multi-award winning 18-hole course was ranked by Golf Digest as Hawaii’s #1 Golf Course and is listed on Golf Digest’s 2005-2006 List of America’s Top 100 Greatest Courses. With the renovations, the Prince Course will be one of the world’s most magnificent golf courses and probably considered Robert Trent Jones’ masterpiece. Playing golf at the Prince is not just a game, it’s an experience and will be something you’ll remember for the rest of your life – a dream come true.

GPS System:
Golf carts at the Prince Course are equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) monitor that provides golfers a birds-eye view of each hole and helps them determine exact distance to fairway hazards, center of the green and pin placement.

Wildlife:
The Prince Golf Course is home to many exotic birds, including the ‘Alae (Hawaiian gallinule), the ‘Alae ke’o ke’o (Hawaiian coot) and the ‘Ae’o (Hawaiian Stilt), each on the endangered species list.  Streams that meander throughout the golf course are home to `Opae, a fresh water shrimp.  The Prince Golf course is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program.

Historical Notes:
The Prince Golf Course is named in honor of a young 19th century prince of Hawaii, Prince Albert Edward Kauikeaouli Leiopapa A Kamehameha, the only son of King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma.

Facilities:
The Prince Golf Course practice facility includes a 1,200-square-foot putting green and another 1,200-square-foot chipping green.  The 13-acre facility features 3 separate teeing locations, which allow for different shots and wind conditions.

Adjoining the golf course is one of the most magnificent golf course and clubhouse facilities in the world -  the 60,000-square-foot Princeville Golf Clubhouse. Situated on the rise overlooking the Prince Golf Course, the clubhouse features panoramic views sweeping from Mt. Namolokama to the Pacific Ocean.

This 18-hole, par-72 course offers magnificent views from 300 feet above the Pacific. But it's not the scenery that earned the Prince Course Golf Digest's rating as "Hawaii's No. 1 Golf Course." It's the incredible design Robert Trent Jones, Jr. created to turn rolling terrain into a links-style course that will challenge you like no other.
